NAP consistency for an HVAC website and Google Business Profile.
Name, address, and phone have to match on the site and on the Google listing. That is NAP. It is not a ranking switch. It is not a citation cleanup service. Booked This Week pastes the footer from your intake. We do not log into Google and we do not chase old directories.
What NAP actually is
NAP is the three facts a homeowner uses to call you: the legal-enough business name, the street address on the listing, and the phone that rings the shop. On an HVAC site those three should appear in the footer, on the Contact page, and in the click-to-call link. On Google Business they sit at the top of the listing.
If the site says “Johnson Heating & Cooling” and the listing says “Johnson’s HVAC,” pick one spelling and change the other. If the site has a tracking number and the listing has the real shop line, the tracking number is the one that is lying. We do not sell call tracking.
Where shops get it wrong
- Homepage phone is a cell. Footer phone is the landline. Google has a third number from an old Google Voice.
- Address on the site is a PO box. The listing is a warehouse. Google wants the address customers can visit or that matches the license — you decide which is true, then copy it.
- Suite numbers, “Ste,” “Suite,” and “#” mixed across the site and the listing.
- City on the homepage is a marketing radius (“serving the greater metro”) while the listing is pinned to one street.
- An old Yelp or Angi page you forgot about. We do not touch those. You can, later, if you want. That work is not in $497 or $197.
What we paste, and what we leave
Done-For-You ($497): footer NAP is taken from the intake you send — business name, city, phone — and we ask for the Google Business URL so we can match what is already on the listing. If the intake and the listing disagree, we stop and ask. We do not invent a third version.
The $197 kit’s INSTALL.md tells you to type the same three facts into the footer, the Contact page, and the form notification. You do that typing. We do not log into Google Business Profile. We do not post. We do not “fix citations.”
What this is not
- Not a promise that matching NAP will move the map pack. Rankings depend on your market, reviews, history, and competitors.
- Not a lead service. Matching the number does not make the phone ring. Someone still has to answer it.
- Not a directory. This page is for shop owners cleaning up their own site and listing.
- Not legal advice about what address belongs on a contractor license.
