An HVAC contact page form that actually emails the shop.
A Contact page with a pretty form that delivers to nobody is a closed shop. The form has one job: put the homeowner’s name, phone, city, and what broke into an inbox someone checks. We set that up on Hostinger WordPress for $497. The $197 kit tells you how. We do not answer the mail.
What the form has to do
Notification email goes to an address the shop reads — office@, the owner’s phone-email, a shared inbox. Not the theme author’s example, not a dead Gmail from 2014, not a “we’ll get back to you” void.
Fields that matter on an HVAC form: name, phone, city or ZIP, and a short “what stopped working” box. Email is optional. A 12-field quote wizard is how people bounce. We do not paste a wizard.
Plugins we name — free, official, pick one
- WPForms Lite, from WordPress.org. Or Contact Form 7, from WordPress.org. One of those. Not both.
- Do not install a nulled “WPForms Pro” zip. We do not ship cracked plugins.
- After install: set the To: address, send a test from your phone, confirm it landed. If Hostinger is blocking mail, use their documented SMTP or a real mailbox on that domain. That is hosting mail, not our product.
- Spam: a simple honeypot or the plugin’s built-in protection is enough to start. A captcha that blocks a 70-year-old with a no-cool call is worse than a little spam.
Contact page, not a second homepage
The Contact page is name, address, and phone matching the Google listing, click-to-call, and the form. Map embed is optional. Hours if they are true. Do not paste a novel above the form. Do not hide the phone in an image.
If the form is on the homepage too, that is fine — same notification address, same fields. Two forms that email two different people is how jobs get lost.
What we do not do
- We do not answer the form. We do not SMS you when it fires. We do not send you leads from other people’s sites.
- We do not promise a number of form fills, calls, or booked jobs.
- DFY is Hostinger WordPress only. If your mail never leaves Hostinger, that is a Hostinger / DNS / mailbox issue after handoff.
- Kit buyers: the checklist is in INSTALL.md. We do not log into your WordPress to wire the form.
