Guides
After-hours messaging on an HVAC site that stays truthful.
After-hours copy only belongs on the site if someone will pick up — or if you say clearly what happens when they will not. False “24/7” is worse than honest office hours. This guide is about truthful messaging, not emergency lead gen and not a ranking claim.
Say what is actually true after closing
- If a tech answers nights and weekends: say that, put the real number in a tel: link, and make sure that number matches Google Business hours if you claim the same there.
- If calls go to voicemail until morning: say office hours, invite a form or voicemail, and do not stamp “Emergency 24/7” on the homepage.
- If you use an answering service: say a service takes the message and a tech calls back when available — only if that is the real workflow.
- If you do not take after-hours jobs at all: say so. Homeowners plan around the truth.
Where the words go
Homepage and Contact are enough for most small shops: hours in plain sentences, click-to-call on the listing number, and a form that emails an inbox someone reads next morning. A separate “Emergency” page is optional — only if the policy on that page matches what happens when someone taps Call at 1 a.m.
Google Business hours should agree with the site. We do not edit your listing. You do.
What we will not write for you
- Invented response-time guarantees (“30 minutes to your door”) unless that is always true.
- 24/7 badges for a shop that closes at 5.
- A second tracking phone that is not on the Google listing.
- Ads, dispatch software, or a call center we do not run.
DFY, kit, and honest scope
On $497 we paste the hours and after-hours lines you put on the intake — onto Hostinger WordPress that is already up. On $197 you paste the files. If intake says you are not after-hours, we will not add a fake emergency banner. Booked This Week does not claim your nights will get busier because the page exists.
DIY $138 with KIT30. DFY $497.
